The property is just 60 metres from the main swimming beach of Swansea with direct private access and no roads to cross.
What accommodation types are available?
Swansea Cottages features heritage-style, village accommodation with options ranging from Lodge Suites, Family Suites, Romantic Attic Spa Suite and 1-bedroom deluxe cabin. If requiring fully self contained exceptionally well equipped accommodation, we have a range of 1, 2 & 3 bedroom cottages. Options include romantic attic spa suites, deluxe cabins, and spacious family cottages.
Is breakfast available?
Yes, we can provide a hearty continental breakfast for guests. This does need to be booked at the time of making a reservation. For fully cooked breakfasts we highly recommend both the Swansea Barkmill Bakery who have full cooked breakfasts available from 7:00PM and is a 2 minute stroll from the property. Alimentoon the southern side of Swansea near the Bowls Club also do wonderful breakfast options from 7:00AM.
What meal options are there for dining?
While we do not have a dining facility on site, The nearby Swansea Barkmill Tavern, Cafe and Bakery provides excellent service and meals for our guests. 2 minute stroll from the property. Of course there are also other great dining options such as the Swansea RSL Club, Alimento, Saltshaker and the upmarket dining Homestead Restaurant south of Swansea at Piermont.
There are also a range of cafes in the main street including Dalila's Patisserie, Artifakt Gallery & Cafe, Felicity's Antiques Tea Rooms and the Horney Cray takeaway.
Several of the Cellar Doors such as Milton Vineyard, Springvale Vineyard & Apero Bistro, Craige Knowe and Mayfield Estate also have onsite restaurants and pop up lunch dining facilities.
Devil's Corner (10:00AM - 5:00PM) at Apslawn to the north (15min) also features a range of great food outlets and wines.. Devils Corner kitchen for rustic wood fired Pizzas and Fishers of Freycinet for fresh local seafood. including Oysters. and steaming mussels.
Is there accessible or easy-access accommodation available?
Yes. Dove Cottage, a traditional Millers Styled Cottage with high ceilings and ornate cornices and ceiling roses, is a 2-bedroom option featuring wide doors, no steps, and a walk-in shower and toilet suite with grab rails. Full kitchen with hotplates, oven, microwave oven, dishwasher and full private laundry facilities. Very much your very special Home Away from Home! While we do not market it as accessible accommodation, it provided facilities for traveler's with special needs who have an accompanying assistant travelling with them. It contains an adjustable shower chair for the shower.
What on-site guest amenities do you provide?
Amenities include 2 tennis courts, tennis racket and ball hire, a fire pit ideal for group bookings, BBQ gazebo, expansive cottage gardens, DVD library, board games, outdoor games and equipment and free parking with Wi-Fi. we even have parking for extra vehicles, boats and trailers.
Is there heating and cooling in the Suites, Deluxe Cabin and Cottages?
Yes. All units offer reverse-cycle heating/air conditioning and bathroom heat lamps plus electric blankets on all beds.
What local attractions are nearby?
The property is closest of all Swansea Accommodation establishments (walking distance 50M ) to the Swansea Tavern, bakery, and Bark Mill,(50M) with attractions like Freycinet National Park and the world famous Wineglass bay. Close by both to the south and north of Swansea is a diverse range of cellar doors and wineries and Kate's Berry Farm nearby (4kmSouth. Add in Spiky Bridge and Spiky Bridge Coastal Reserve, Three Arch Bridge at Mayfield Beach to the South as well as Nine Mile Beach immediately to the north of Swansea with some of the best bream fishing backwaters in Australia in the nearby Swan River for the keen fisherman. Also for the avid fisherman and boat owner Swansea has a Jetty which is great for evening or early morning fishing as well as a huge boat ramp to launch your boat from.

Yes, we cater for late check-ins as we have outside of reception automatic guest key drop box. To arrange this please either ring or email reception at guestservices@swanseacottages.com.au to arrange an after hours late check-in..
Can I check out early before reception opens?
Yes, that is not problem at all as we have a secure key return outside of reception.
Can I purchase a gift voucher?
Most certainly. Just nominate the $ amount that you would like the voucher for and our friendly staff in reception will do the rest.
Do you have a cot and Linen available?
Yes, we do have cots and linen available for a small daily fee. We also have a "Bub tub" available as well. Please enquire at reception or make note when booking.
We are "new" to the area and not sure how long to spend or what we can do in Swansea. and the wider area?
Our staff are generally worldly travelers themselves and know the area very well and only too pleased to help you plan, whether for a single day, multiple day or a weeks worth if itinerary.
