Swansea Cottages & Lodge Suites is located at 43 Franklin Street, Swansea, Tasmania 7190, Australia. The property is centrally situated in the historic seaside township of Swansea, adjacent to Great Oyster Bay and conveniently positioned for exploring the Freycinet Coast.
We are approximately 50 metres from the local bakery, café and tavern, and about 300 metres from the IGA supermarket, pharmacy, cafés and specialty shops.
How close is Jubilee Beach?
The property is quietly positioned between the main road and Jubilee Beach. The beach is approximately 60 metres away, with direct private walking access and no roads to cross.

We offer heritage-style village accommodation suitable for couples, families and groups, including:
- Lodge Suites and Family Suites;
- a romantic Attic Spa Suite;
- a one-bedroom Deluxe Cabin/Chalet; and
- exceptionally well-equipped, fully self-contained one, two and three-bedroom cottages.
Selected accommodation includes a romantic two-person spa.

Yes. We offer a hearty continental breakfast as part of a pre-booked Bed & Breakfast package. Breakfast may also be arranged for in-house guests upon request.
For a fully cooked breakfast, the nearby Swansea Bark Mill Bakery and Alimento are popular local options. As opening times may change, guests should check directly with the businesses.

Although we do not operate an onsite restaurant, numerous dining options are available within Swansea and the surrounding area.

Dove Cottage is a traditional two-bedroom cottage offering several features that may assist guests seeking easier access. These include wide doorways, no entrance steps, a walk-in shower, toilet grab rails and an adjustable shower chair.
The cottage also has high ceilings, decorative cornices and ceiling roses, a fully equipped kitchen and a private laundry.
Dove Cottage is not advertised or represented as formally compliant accessible accommodation. Guests with particular mobility or assistance requirements should contact reception before booking so that we can discuss the cottage’s suitability for their individual needs.

Yes. All accommodation has reverse-cycle heating and air conditioning, bathroom heat lamps and electric blankets on the beds.

The Swansea Bark Mill, bakery and tavern are approximately 50 metres from the property. Swansea also provides convenient access to Freycinet National Park and world-famous Wineglass Bay.
Cellar doors and vineyards are located both north and south of Swansea, while other nearby attractions include Kate’s Berry Farm, Spiky Bridge, Spiky Bridge Coastal Reserve, Mayfield Beach and Three Arch Bridge.
Nine Mile Beach lies immediately north of Swansea. The nearby Swan River is known for bream fishing, while Swansea also has a jetty and a substantial boat ramp for fishing and boating enthusiasts.

Yes. Cots and cot linen are available for a small daily fee. We also have a baby bath, or “Bub tub,” available upon request.
